The Story Behind Neocare

During one of our visits to a hospital in Lagos, we witnessed a deeply emotional and eye opening scene. Rows of tiny newborns, barely clinging to life, were crowded in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Each fragile heartbeat told a story of struggle, and the devastated faces of their parents spoke volumes about the challenges of neonatal care in underserved areas. This experience left an indelible mark on us. It became clear that beyond the doctors and midwives working tirelessly, there was a critical gap in the tools and support available to monitor and safeguard neonatal development. The lack of timely information and accessible resources for mothers and caregivers contributed to preventable complications. From this moment of realization, Neocare was born—a mobile application designed to bridge the gap in neonatal care. By empowering midwives with real-time alerts and assisting mothers in tracking their baby’s development and milestones, we hope to make a lasting impact on reducing neonatal mortality rates in Africa and beyond. Neocare is not just an app; it is a mission to bring hope and health to countless families, inspired by the struggles we witnessed and the resilience we know can overcome them.
